Jaheim Ozman:

Despite this dilemma, he lived a happy life, with his best friend Nalani. This all changes when his town is raided and he is taken, chained to a ship headed towards Balïnmore and sold to the palace.
He goes from a Stable hand to being adopted by the royal family turning him into a Prince. Now in enemy territory, he has to navigate through the web of lies corruption and the most powerful people in the country trying to tear him down.
Nalani Akuli:

Nalani knew she always had special gifts, at the age of seven she discovered that she is a Wind Summoner. She discovers her powers when she saves Jaheim from falling from a tree. Ever since she was little she has wanted to explore and see the world wanting more than to take over her parent’s book store in Kulubi.
After the night of the raid with her parents’ permission, she starts a new life in a neighbouring country, learning her powers and new languages. She then is offered a place at new school training to be an envoy. Years go by and she finds herself in Balïnmore, her past and present collide as the night that changed everything is brought to the forefront of her life.

His parents encouraged him to apply for a scholarship at one of the most prestigious school not only in the country but in the world. Soon after completing his exams, he is awarded a scholarship. Although he is known as the boy who makes everyone laugh, the one who is always down to party he suffers from the uptight and classiest environment at Er Howles. Kimora Zaan:

Kimora was brought to Balïnmore at the age of six as her home country was going through severe economic depression and a famine that wiped out more than half of the population.
Due to her Crafter gift, she is sent to Er Howles, and her freedom and cultural history are traded for a room and food. She struggles to come to deal with this emptiness.
